Job DescriptionYour new roleWe invite you to bring your education and experience into play as you manage the construction activities for fast-paced Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) projects in the manufacturing industry.
As our new Senior Construction Manager, you will be part of our Advanced Manufacturing Project Management team based out of Syracuse, NY, but you will be located on specific projects throughout the United States and possibly Canada.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Plans, schedules, and oversees other superintendents, supervisors, administrators on project related activities.
Assembles members of organization (supervisory, clerical, engineering, and other workers) at start of project to review job specific issues (schedules, health & safety issues, subcontractor coordination, etc.
).
Assign roles and responsibilities for field activities in accordance with the company practices.
Actively works with the Project Manager in the management of the overall project construction scope schedule and budgetResponsible for leadership of the on-site project team managementResponsible for overall subcontractor contract management in coordination with the Project ManagerLeads team with the change orders process including proper notification, supporting data gathering/organization development for Project Manager review and processing.
Participates actively in creating a safety culture in the office and at the jobsite.
Serve as Project Site Safety Leader (in absence of full time EHS Supervisor).
Collaborates with Project Manager in the development and modification to the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
Provide updates to the Project Manager in accordance with the PEP as it relates to cost, schedule, and client management.
Estimates cost of materials, labor, and use of equipment required to manage change during a project successfully.
As the primary interface with clients during a project, obtains client feedback and maintains client relationships.
Manages the execution of the commissioning and closeout processes.
Adheres to the policies and standards outlined in our quality management practices.

For this role, we believe your starting point is:
At minimum, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management5-10 years' experience in a construction related field managing industrial engineering and construction projects.
Ability to read plans/drawings/specifications and interpret data.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge and familiarity with Project Scheduling and Job Costing.
Construction sequencing and planning, construction scheduling/durations, safety planning, means and methods.

Salary:
$61 per hour.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
