The Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation (WACF) is a local public not-for-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of the Wawasee area watershed for present and future generations.
The Wawasee Watershed covers 24,448 acres including Wawasee, Syracuse, Bonar and Papakeechie lakes as well as ten lakes in the upper Turkey Creek sub watershed.
The Foundation was formed in 1991 to anticipate, search out, and solve threats to the Wawasee Area Watershed and to its water quality.
The Foundation is dedicated to enhancement the watershed and works hand-in-hand with property owner groups, the State Department of Natural Resources and other governmental and civic organizations that share its concerns.
The Foundation was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) corporation, thus enabling it to provide tax advantages for gifts and grants.

/part time to start, working up to full time in spring and summer.
Base salary:
$35,000-$40,000/yr.
Flexible schedule.

Some tasks included:
1.
Update and maintain WACF annual event calendar and attend community event coordination meetings 2.
Create spreadsheets for event mailings, address and mail invitations, and receive RSVPs 3.
Answer phone and retrieve voicemails and respond appropriately or forward information to WACF personnel 4.
Timely prepare and transmit email reminders to members involved in board and committee meetings including appropriate attachments 5.
Program reader sign and post American flags to WACF signs on Memorial Day, July 4th , and Labor Day 6.
Inspect and minor exterior maintenance of Education Center, Between the Lakes, ELLFS Donor Wall, Memory Garden, Pavilions and Trails including garden weeding, security lights and pamphlet refills 7.
Update and minor interior maintenance of Education Center Library, Board room, and public areas 8.
Inspect and minor maintenance of all remote WACF identification signs and trail signs 9.
Inventory and reorder office supplies 10.
Inventory and reorder WACF publications or store items in anticipation of public events, WPOA breakfast, WACF Lakes Celebration and Canoe Trips 11.
Assist Development, Education, and PR committees with event planning and invitations 12.
Maintain and troubleshoot office technology, identify and arrange appropriate IT for meetings, and communicate with IT vendors as necessary.

Attend, monitor and report to Executive Director regarding relevant information discussed at County Planning and Commissioners meetings 14.
Assist Ecology committee with data reporting and summaries 15.
Additional duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Proven experience in office administration or related field - Knowledge of front desk operations and IT - Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Bloomerang, and other relevant tools - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Experience in team management is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience and skills.
